Our experience with Spicer Brothers has truly come full circle and ended on a very positive note. All of the work they completed for us was on the same home — our newly purchased fixer upper beach cottage in Chincoteague Island, VA. They first completed an exterior project there in the winter of 2025, and while that initial experience fell short of expectations, the company has since undergone major staffing changes for the better. Those changes are clearly reflected in improved workmanship, communication, and overall project management. Later that year, Ross Abbott personally came out to our home, reviewed the original work, and assured us everything would be made right. Ross went above and beyond, staying in constant communication with us and coordinating internally to correct every issue. He was always pleasant, personable, and professional, and he followed through by returning with a dedicated team that resolved everything in just one day. Because of how professionally that situation was handled, we rehired Spicer Brothers to gut and remodel a 50-year-old full bathroom in the same home in December 2025. The project was a complete success, and the finished bathroom is beautiful. Greg and Kyle clearly take pride in their work, and Kyle in particular went out of his way to keep the project moving. Spicer Brothers is a family-owned business that truly stands behind their work. They fix problems, work with you on timelines and costs, and are responsive and easy to communicate with. Their crews are friendly, respectful, and trustworthy in your home. They also address issues they uncover during construction, ensuring the work is done right beneath the surface. Our bathroom remodel was customized, and they were flexible in allowing us to supply some of our own materials. The pricing reflects the quality of work and peace of mind you receive. I would 100% recommend Spicer Bros.. We are very happy with the installation of a new roof on my parents home. It was installed within a few weeks after we went to contract and completed the job in one day… it looks great! All of the Spicer employees were polite and helpful - beginning with our sales consultant Joe, our Proj Mgr Brandon, our install supervisor JR, the installers themselves, and the staff people at their office. Their communication and customer service was excellent. They did a terrific job cleaning up the debris after they were done! We would definitely recommend Spicer Bros for anyone needing a new roof!
